Before you download
Who is responsible if I download something I shouldn’t?
You decide which links you paste, and you are responsible for them. We don’t host any content, don’t crawl anything and don’t keep copies. The details are in the Terms of Use.
What am I allowed to download?
Content you own, content that is freely licensed (such as Creative Commons) or content you have permission to download. Copying for private use is largely permitted in Switzerland; rules differ by country. You may not redistribute other people’s content, and many platforms prohibit downloading in their terms. CrowDownloader does not support copy-protected services such as Netflix or Disney+.
Why isn’t there an App Store version?
Apple doesn’t allow apps that save media from third-party services (guideline 5.2.3). That’s why CrowDownloader is only available here as a direct download.
Which sites work?
More than a thousand, from big video platforms and social networks to public broadcasters’ media libraries. If the app doesn’t know a site, it scans the page for videos itself.
What happens when a site changes?
Platforms change all the time. The app updates its extractors on its own so downloads keep working without you installing a new version.
Is there a mobile version?
No. Apple and Google don’t allow apps like this in their stores. CrowDownloader is made for Mac and Windows.
